Club Travel kicked off 2018 supporting a cause very close to all our hearts… the education and upliftment of the youth.
During our recent Manager’s Strategy session, all the managers and directors of Club Travel spent an afternoon constructing and painting bookshelves, which were donated to the VisionAfriKa School in Kayamandi, just outside Stellenbosch. Over the festive season, an appeal was also sent out to all our staff and partners, to ask for donations of any old (but still usable) stationery and books.
These donations, along with 225 brand new fiction & non-fiction books, were handed over to Sarita Slabber and the staff of the VisionAfriKa school.
“You have made such an impact on these children’s lives,” said Ms Slabber during the delivery. “The children love to have stories read to them, as books are often the last thing they know of in their domestic situations”.
We trust the donation will set these youngsters off to a great start for the 2018 school year and wish Ms Slabber and her dedicated team the very best for the year ahead.
