This month Lufthansa celebrates a milestone: 60 years of flying to South African
On 14 May 1962, Lufthansa’s inaugural flight to South Africa departed Germany, using a Boeing 720 with somewhat of an adventure on the horizon, making several intermediary stops en route.
Not only does 60 years signify their long term commitment to South Africa, but it is also a testament to their vision of bringing people and cultures together as well as playing a pivotal role in the successful development of trade relations between the two nations.
To mark this occasion, they are offering their South African customers a special 60th-anniversary fare to selected European destinations. These fares can be booked directly through Club Travel and are valid for sale until 31 May 2022. Additional destinations are available.
