Having worked with ‘Shop for a Stranger’ in the past, we did not hesitate to, once again, assist Aunty Poppie who feeds approx. 200 children and care for their basic needs in Grabouw.

On Saturday, 9 February 2019 we visited the impoverished Grabouw community to deliver 100 pairs of brand new school shoes, socks, toiletries, groceries and money for gas, to assist with the soup kitchen’s needs which Aunty Poppie runs on a weekly basis, to ensure the little ones receive a hearty meal.

Club Cares also sponsored ‘Shop for a Stranger’ with a R5 000 shopping voucher to ensure they are stocked up and have enough ingredients to feed the hungry tummies.

To thank Aunty Poppie for the amazing work she is doing in the community, we surprised her with a new outfit and takkies.  She was certainly overwhelmed and grateful for all the donations.
