This past Friday (25 May 2018), Marketing’s Luana Visagie and Minette Fourie had the pleasure of attending a remarkable evening of fundraising, in aid of the Red Cross Children’s Hospital’s Oncology Unit.
The event, hosted at the One&Only Cape Town, in the Waterfront, was sponsored by Citadel Wealth Management, The Black Knight Foundation and Virgin Atlantic (to name a few).
Offering some world-class entertainment on the night, was Irish pop star, Ronan Keating. Ronan has been a fierce advocate for the early detection and awareness of this illness since losing his mother, Marie, in the mid-90’s. He has since founded the Marie Keating Foundation to aid in this cause.
Through his partnership with golfing legend, Gary Player (The Black Knight Foundation), they spearheaded the exclusive event in Cape Town, in order to raise some much needed funds for the Red Cross Children’s Hospital.
A whopping R1 million was raised at the event, with attendees digging deep and bidding hard on anything from bespoke art to Mauritian holidays… Elton John concert tickets to Rovos Rail trips.
Club Cares committed to a contribution of R25 000 towards the Oncology Unit’s upgrade and expansion.
